Jeff Korbelik: Rococo to feature dinner/music fundraiser
If you're looking for something to do Friday night, Southeast Community College Educational Foundation has an event that may pique your interest: the second annual "Celebrate Judy" at the Rococo Theatre at 13th and P streets.
A fundraiser for the Judy Fletcher Scholarship Fund, "Celebrate Judy" features a three-course meal catered by Venue Restaurant and live music from The Mac 5, The Blues Orchestra and Loose Rooster.
The Fletcher Scholarship is a special memorial fund sanctioned by SCC's Educational Foundation. Each year, $1,000 is awarded to a Human Services Department student whose primary focus of study is becoming an alcohol and drug counselor.
Tickets are $50 for dinner and music or $25 for music only. Doors open at 5 p.m. with dinner served at 6. For tickets or more information, call Brian Hull at 402-432-3171.
