Mercedes Benz 500 SEC, collector's car?

Do you guys think that the 80's Mercedes Salloon will ever have a following in the collectors market, I have a 1982 AMG 500SEC and don't know whether to restore it, needs rear diff, transmission, some electric work, paint, and front chin spoiler. I think

Although relatively rare, the C126 body likely won't be a collector's item any time soon. I occasionally see late 80's 560SEC for sale in my area but they don't go for very much money.
