1988,89,and 90 ford ranger part exchange.?

I have a 1989 ford ranger (my project truck) and I was wondering if I could use parts from a 88 ranger or a 90 ranger on my 89?If I cant find parts for a 89 ford ranger.....I wanna know can I use 1988 or 1990 ranger parts?

you wanna stay away from the 88. 89-92 is the next (second) generation.

in 89 they made some engine/tranny changes. different animals as far as plug and play goes. though anything is possible.
