I dated a girl for nearly two years. For the longest time we were the best of friends and we're together quite often. She moved here (Houston) from a town called Pearland. So she was by herself and

It honestly sounds like her friends were giving her advice. The fact that her friend came with her makes me think that her friend was there to keep her "strong" in her decision and to not get back with you. Obviously I don't know the whole situation.
