I have stayed at the New York Helmsley twice, once in 2009, once in 2008. The first time, everything was perfect - nearly soundproof room on the 42nd floor, gorgeous view. This time was okay, but there were also negatives: Room was far from soundproof and it was VERY noisy from 42nd St all night....
