can my landlord place the building thermostat in the boiler room of the basement?
My landlord has placed a new thermostat in the boiler room of the basement and now we get very little heat in the apartments upstairs because the boiler room is the warmest place in the building. Is he allowed to do this?
This would depend on local laws, but in most places, the temperature would be measured within each individual apartment, not in some central location. Even if the temperature were okay in one apartment, it wouldn't make all of the apartments in that
