my ford mondeo zetec 2004 2.0L engine gives issues while starting up and it does it so intermittently.?

Seems like it cranks up the engine but not enough spark for the engine to start, but after the 2nd try its fine. The car has new battery, new platinum spark plugs and the engine valves been replaced recently as well. Ford NZ in Auckland couldn't find
